allows teachers to create their own interactive web sites. You can also view pages
other teachers have created on a variety of topics from the Civil War to Geometry to
elements.
Blue Web'N - (part
of the Filamentality site) This site provides links to lesson plans, activities,
projects, resources, hotlists, and reference tools. All links are arranged by
content.
Blue Web'N Search --(part
of the Blue Web'N site) This site allows you to search for specific web sites on
a particular topic. You choose the grade level and the topic, Blue Web'N
finds Internet resources.
Kathy Schrock's Internet
Guide - This site is an excellent resource for educators.
It has links to educational resources, lesson plans, and other professional sites.
ERIC - This
database, which is from Syracuse University, allows users to access educational journals
and documents.
Teacher Center -
The official site of the Greater Capital Region Teacher Center. This site has
educational and research links. Check out the excellent links to "instructional
resources and teaching strategies linked to the New York State Learning Standards."
SUNLINK -- This site shows Internet
search strategies. It gives specific search examples and can be used to teach
Internet searching.
Big6 Skills
- This site covers Michael B. Eisenberg and Robert E. Berkowitz's Big6 Skills. These
steps are the "information problem-solving approach to library and information skills
instruction."
Connecting
Students: Teacher Resources - This site offers links to free
graphics, crossword puzzles, worksheets, teacher resources, and other professional links.
